Musical Achievements:

The Jettsonz introduced Nina Sky to hip hop DJ Cipha Sounds and was later signed to Next Plateau Entertainment (a division of Universal Records). Urban music and rhythmic top 40 stations quickly added the song to their play lists, sending the song up the charts. By July, Move Ya Body spiked to the top 5 on both sides of the Atlantic and reached to the top 5 of a world combined R&B chart based on the US, UK, Germany, France, Australia, and was certified gold. Their Debut album was released in June of that year.

About Us

Music is Our Passion

Bermingham Music Group is a music management and production company (with unique expertise in a wide array of musical genres).

Lionel Bermingham is a master craftsman. His passion for music began at an early age mostly influenced by his musically talented family. His father was the pianist and organist in their church. Lionel honed his natural abilities by attending the Brooklyn Academy of Music for piano. Music directors soon noticed his talent and took him under their wings to further cultivate his love for music. Lionel expanded his instrumental repertoire and began playing drums which led to a regular spot in his teacher’s band performing at various events. Following in the footsteps of his father, Lionel too began to play the piano and organ in various local churches making a name for himself along the East Coast.

In 1990, Lionel became the musical director for the East Coast Regional Mass Choir; best known for their hit gospel song “I Can Call Him” featuring John P. Kee. Lionel dedicated himself full time to music, traveling across the country appearing on the Bobby Jones Gospel Music show. After being the musical director for the East Coast Regional Mass Choir, Lionel branched out and went on tour as a keyboardist for Markie Mark and the Funky Bunch (known today as Mark Wahlberg). This opportunity opened more doors as Lionel's notoriety grew. He caught the attention of Bad Boy Entertainment’s recording artist Faith Evans musical director which led to him going on tour for several years.

Not satisfied with just being a musician, Lionel developed a love and appreciation for the creative process of song writing and producing. He left touring and co-founded his own production company The Jettsonz; the team behind the dynamic duo Nina Sky.

Lionel has worked with well-known artists such as, Sean Paul, Taj from SWV, Allure, Lumidee, Beenie Man, Betty Wright, Carter Banks, Jabba, as well as international artists Tarkan and Snap.

Further expanding into musical footprint, Lionel co-wrote and co-produced songs that appeared in film soundtracks for Coach Carter and Zero Dark Thirty.
